Where is YogaFest held?
The Brisbane Yoga Festival, YogaFest, is held at The Old Museum, Cnr Gregory Tce & Bowen Bridge Rd, Bowen Hills, Brisbane. See the map below for directions.
How can I get to YogaFest?
Buses and trains stops are walking distance to the Old Museum. Follow this link to plan your trip. www.translink.com.au
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the RNA show grounds (entrance is off Gregory Tce). Cost is $12 per vehicle payable to RNA Showgrounds. No on site parking available. Limited on street parking.
What should I bring?
A yoga mat and anything else you would normally take to a class. No lockers or holding facilities are available. There will be stalls selling yoga equipment at YogaFest.
Photo ID if you have bought your tickets online.
Cash if you are buying tickets at the door (no EFTPOS).
What time should I arrive?
Registration opens at 8am. If you’re planning to attend one of the first classes in the morning, it would be a good idea to arrive before 8.30am.
What do I do when I arrive at YogaFest?
Walk through the gates and fill in a Registration Form. (Save time and print this out now).
Prepaid ticket registration is outside Hall 1, bring a printout of your ticket, photo ID, and your Registration Form.
To buy a ticket on the day go inside to the foyer of Hall 1, you will need cash and a Registration Form.
Where is the nearest EFTPOS machine?
No EFTPOS is available at YogaFest.
The closest ATM is under the Exhibition Building at the RNA Showgrounds. There are also ATMs at the Royal Brisbane Hospital off Bowen Bridge Rd or Fortitude Valley Train Station in Brunswick Street.
Do I need to keep the festival wristband on the whole weekend?
Yes, if you are coming for the weekend, you’ll need to keep the wristband on overnight. The wristbands allow you flexibility to come and go during the day. They are sturdy and waterproof so you can shower with them on. If your wristband comes off, please bring it back with you to registration. If you lose the wristband, unfortunately you will need to purchase another ticket.
Can I access the market stalls without a wristband?
Garden stalls and the food and massage area are free to visit. To access the verandah market stalls and the workshop areas, a festival pass is needed.
Can I bring my children to YogaFest?
Due to the nature of the festival, and the types of workshop on offer, children under 12 can not buy YogaFest tickets, and are limited to the garden stalls area.
Can I come if I’m new to Yoga?
We welcome newcomers to YogaFest. There is a FREE total beginner class at 9.30am each day, in the garden. This class is open to the general public. Most classes in the YogaFest program are taught to cater to beginners as well as advanced students. Class descriptions will give more detail on the level of the class. Please listen to your body, pace yourself throughout the day, and feel free to sit back and watch or lie down and rest at any time, this is completely acceptable in any class.
